Scott Wildgust in his Chassis Craft built White and Wild Racing blown Top Dragster captured the #1 qualifying spot at the Jeg’s Sports nationals in Columbus, Ohio Sept 21-23.
Wildgust and his loyal crew had been fighting ignition problems over the last 2 Quick 32 series events since installing the MSR Performance built AJPE Hemi. Scott stated, “Jon Salemi from Resolution Racing Services and I got together on the purchase of this engine at the end of the summer and we have had a silly ignition problem since day one. Like always it took a couple of races to figure out but we it right now and went right to the top of the field. It’s got so much more left in it as well. I’m extremely happy with this package and can’t wait to get back at it next season. Jon set the fuel system up along with the gearing and timing curve and this car went straight down the trackâ€.
Unfortunately Wildgust lost first round after qualifying with a 6.03 @ 230 Mph run. Teammate Billy White went out in the second round as his car slowed and fell off of its dial in. White ran a slew of consistent low 6.60 runs down the historic Columbus track in his small block Chevy blown alcohol Top Dragster.
